Šibenik climate

Šibenik has a Mediterranean climate characterized by dry and hot summers and mild and relatively wet winters. It has a lot of sunny days, during the year Šibenik receives more than 2710 hours of sun. During the summer the temperatures are relatively hight, however, heat is reduced by the mild and pleasant wind ‘maestral’ which blows from the direction of the sea inwards. Most rainfall comes during the winter time while summers are usually dry. Average rainfall annually is about 803mm. Predominant winds are ‘bura’ and ‘jugo’.
